In 1975, Jeff Clyman was committing more of his time to the history of aircrafts than to his career in law. Eventually, he decided to pursue his passion for recording the spirit of aviation pioneers and U.S. Air Force warplane heroes, and founded AVIREX, Ltd.
However, no one, including Jeff himself, would have ever imagined then that the company would be able to reproduce a perfect copy of a flight jacket used in World War II, or that it would become the largest and most respected company among the world's leading military gear outfitters.
In his search for these "hero jackets," (rare finds since 1945) and his efforts to "trace their footsteps," Clyman devoted a great deal of his time to visiting air shows where he could meet the brave soldiers of the Burmese Wars, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.
Outfitted in their legendary jackets, they shared parts of their precious history with him.
